A Decade of Compassion: Celebrating the Lucy Pet Foundation’s Impact Through 2025 and Into 2026
For more than ten years, the Lucy Pet Foundation has remained committed to one simple but powerful mission: reducing pet overpopulation and saving the lives of dogs and cats through accessible veterinary care.
As we reflect on everything accomplished throughout 2025 and look ahead to 2026, we are reminded that every surgery performed, every pet vaccinated, every family helped, and every life saved is only possible because of the generosity of our supporters, volunteers, veterinary teams, and community partners.
More Than 30,000 Lives Changed
One of our proudest milestones is providing more than 30,000 free spay-and-neuter surgeries across Southern California’s underserved communities. Each procedure helps prevent unwanted litters, reduces overcrowding in shelters, and gives pets healthier, longer lives.
Every surgery represents more than a single animal—it helps prevent generations of homeless pets from being born while easing the burden on local shelters and rescue organizations.
Making Veterinary Care Accessible
Throughout 2025, our mobile veterinary clinic continued bringing affordable and free services directly into neighborhoods where access to veterinary care can be limited.
Our dedicated veterinary professionals have provided:
- Free and low-cost spay and neuter surgeries
- Rabies vaccinations
- Microchipping
- Wellness services
- Educational resources for responsible pet ownership
By removing financial and transportation barriers, families can give their beloved pets the care they deserve.
A Community Built on Compassion
Behind every successful clinic is a remarkable team of veterinarians, technicians, volunteers, rescue partners, and community organizations working together with one common goal—improving the lives of pets and the people who love them.
The heartfelt testimonials we receive from pet owners remind us why this work matters. Families consistently share stories about the kindness of our staff, the professionalism of our veterinary teams, and the relief of receiving quality care that might otherwise have been out of reach.
Educating Pet Owners
Helping pets extends beyond medical care. Throughout the year, the Lucy Pet Foundation has continued educating pet owners on responsible pet ownership, preventive healthcare, and the importance of spaying and neutering.
When communities understand how preventative care benefits both individual pets and the broader animal population, everyone wins.
Continuing Our Mission in 2026
As we move further into 2026, our commitment remains stronger than ever.
Our focus continues to be:
- Expanding access to affordable veterinary care
- Hosting additional mobile clinic events
- Partnering with rescues and animal welfare organizations
- Helping reduce shelter overcrowding
- Promoting responsible pet ownership through education
- Saving more lives through preventative care
Every clinic brings us one step closer to our vision of a future where healthy, adoptable pets are no longer euthanized simply because there are too many and not enough homes.
Thank You for Being Part of the Journey
None of this would be possible without our incredible supporters.
Whether you’ve donated, volunteered, attended one of our clinics, adopted a pet, or simply shared our mission with friends and family, you’ve helped make a real difference.
Together, we’ve spent over a decade proving that compassionate action can transform communities and save thousands of animal lives.
As we continue through 2026, we invite you to join us in writing the next chapter of the Lucy Pet Foundation’s story. Every donation, every volunteer hour, and every act of kindness helps create a brighter future for pets in need.
Together, we can continue giving pets the healthy, happy lives they deserve.
